LuvTrails, SORBA, Trek partner for donations

JOHNSON CITY, TN – LuvTrails Inc, Trek Bicycle Johnson City and the Southern Off-road Bicycle Association (SORBA) have agreed to an exciting donation drive for local trail builders and volunteers during the 2019 Southern Mountain Bike Summit which takes place from 15-18 May in Johnson City, TN.

LuvTrails has launched a mobile app (iOS and Android) to offer the public a very easy way to make micro-donations to local non-profit volunteer trail organizations, like the more than forty SORBA Chapters operating in seven Southeastern states.

Through geolocation the App matches the mountain bike trail with the local organization who builds and maintains the trail. It then makes it super-easy to donate small amounts directly to that organization out of appreciation for the volunteer work it does to keep those trails in pristine condition for public use.

In exchange for their “good deed” to donate Trek Bicycle Johnson City will reward SORBA Summit delegates with substantial discounts and swag.

Donors could earn 20% discount on all merchandise at Trek Bicycle if they download the LuvTrails App and donate $20 or more, or 10% discount for donations of $15 or more. Lots of branded swag items is also up for grabs as a reward for at least $10.

Residents of the Tri-cities region should be on the lookout for the LuvTrails green heart-shaped QR code at trail heads or participating retail partners over the next few days. Simply scan the QR code with your camera phone, download the App and then donate. Or scan the code (here), or from the Tri-Cities SORBA and Trek Bicycle social media pages.

Or just download the App in the app store, navigate to any of the local Trail Venues like Johnson City, Kingsport, Elizabethton, Bristol, Mountain City, Abingdon, Mount Rogers, Norton and Cherokee.
During the conference all donations will go towards the work of the very active local SORBA Tri-cities chapter. This group of volunteers are responsible for hundreds of soft surface trails in Northeastern Tennessee and Southwestern Virginia.

The rewards winners will be announced over the weekend at the summit.
